Effects of selenomethionine on the antioxidative enzymes, water physiology and fruit quality of strawberry plants under drought stress

چکیده

o investigate the role of selenomethionine (SeMet) in regulating drought tolerance strawberry plants, we explored effects SeMet on antioxidative enzymes, water physiology and fruit quality plants under stress (DS). In this study, used variety ‘Sweet Charlie’ as material investigated through foliar spraying pot experiments. The results showed that DS obviously enhanced activities antioxidant enzymes (ascorbate peroxidase, superoxide dismutase, peroxidase catalase) increased malondialdehyde (MDA) hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) contents leaves compared with control. Meanwhile, markedly improved parameters soluble solids (SS), sugar, vitamin C (Vc) sugar-acid ratio. Compared alone, above SS, ratio sugar Vc contents, but decreased MDA H2O2 levels DS. However, photosynthetic pigment chlorophyll (Chl) carotenoid (Car) net rate (Pn), transpiration (Tr), stomatal conductance (Gs), relative content (RWC), weight plant height biomass. significantly Chl Car Pn, Tr, Gs, RWC, al.ne other indicators except for RWC Our present concluded relieved adverse impacts growth by enhancing photosynthesis conditions leaves, which promoted quality. Thus, can be considered a regulator to improve strawberries.
